SUMMARY: The Electrical Controls Engineer at Busse/SJI is responsible for designing and detailing the control systems for Arrowhead Systems machinery. This position is responsible for the electrical components and operation of the machinery to ensure it meets all of the criteria set by the customer and by Arrowhead Systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTSDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce error free, cost effective drawings. These include:
- Schematic diagrams
- Panel layouts
- Operator Consoles
- Electrical assemblies
- Bills of materials
- Develop PLC and HMI applications.
- Meet timelines given for assignments.
- Be innovative in designs, looking for increased quality and cost effectiveness.
- Assist service department with quoting and processing parts orders.
- Generate detailed ECN's as required.
- Assist project engineers in design and detailing portions of projects.
- Assume project engineer responsibilities for small to medium size projects.
- Create and maintain an engineering file.
- Develop and monitor schedules.
- Review work performed by others for the project.
- Provide electrical engineering manager with a weekly status update.
- Perform equipment startups as the lead or as an advisor with the startup team.
- Produce error free, cost effective drawings. These include:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in using current release of AutoCad.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of PLC's
- Knowledge of HMI's
- Knowledge of control components (sensors, motor control devices, etc.)
- BSEE or 5 years control systems experience.
