ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Write, edit, organize and package responses to Requests for Proposals in compliance with detailed client requirements on stringent deadlines to ensure U.S. Bank's qualification in bid process
2. Proofread proposals for content, grammar, style, formatting
3. Keep current on program, technical, product and service enhancements or changes as they occur
4. Work with subject matter experts to answer specific client questions and record new information in proposals accurately
5. Provide ongoing writing support to sales and relationship management staff
6. Update proposal language as needed
7. Ensure sales positioning is aligned with sales strategy for each proposal
SPECIFICATIONS:
Business writing experience in sales support, proposal generation, marketing, communications, publishing or print media. Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field preferred. Proven writing, editing and proofreading abilities. Ability to communicate effectively on unfamiliar topics to elicit technical and program information necessary to answer client questions. Ability to quickly assimilate new information regarding specific product and technical topics and write accurately about those topics or concepts immediately after introduction. Strong organizational skills and an eye for presentation and details a must. Ability to manage routine administrative tasks. Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Possesses technical ability to adapt to those proposal tools and software used by the team.
