Sr Communication Manager - Pain Therapies (Finance)Careers that Change Lives In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing annual and long-term strategic communications plans leveraging internal and external strategies to advance the Pain Therapies business, which is part of the Neuromodulation Operating Unit. This includes employee engagement, change management, executive communications, internal and external communications planning and implementation, social media, advocacy and PR. This role will work closely with Pain Therapies leadership and the Neuromodulation communications team. A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Provides strategic communications counsel to Pain Therapies leadership Collaborates closely with the Neuromodulation communications team to drive consistency in employee and external messaging Translates business strategy, using storytelling to engage and inspire employees Manages and executes internal communications activities that includes producing content (presentations, written communications, video, etc.) and producing employee town halls or other all-employee meetings. Shapes messages and leverages appropriate communications channels to engage audiences, incorporating new technology as appropriate Utilizes integrated communications strategies that motivate stakeholders to understand, act or advocate for the business Advises business partners and leads PR, social media, and advocacy aspects of the communications plans collaborating with marcomm, digital/social media, investor relations, corporate communications and government affairs as appropriate Manages issues and crisis Identifies and leverages storylines to garner media opportunities that bring the business strategy and Mission to life Measures and reports results, adjusting communications strategy and execution as appropriate to achieve business results Must Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors Degree and 7+ years of progressive responsibiity in the communications field, including internal and PR communications experience, in either a corporate environment or agency, or an advanced degree and 5+ years of experienceNice to Have Strong written and interpersonal communications skills Proven ability to proivide communications counsel to business leaders Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments at one time Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues at all levels of the organization Solid project and time management skills Experience with executive communications Experience working with and managing communications agencies or consultants Understanding of basic brand, marketing and design principles Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Teams and Yammer Experience with Eloqua or other email marketing platforms Experience with Cision or other media monitoring platforms About MedtronicTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
