The position reports to the Vice President of Operations

The head of Quality is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Company's global quality strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with the achievement of the Company's and Customer's key objectives. You will engage employees, customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders in developing goals, executing plans and delivering results. This position is responsible for assessing the current quality organization's structure and capability and determining the optimal structure required to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement in the Company. This position requires the ability to successfully drive quality programs and initiatives through a decentralized/matrixed organizational structure by influencing and mobilizing cross-functional teams and effectively communicating vision and objectives.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the setting and evaluation of the business strategies and objectives
Lead the development of the business's quality compliance vision
Drive the execution of quality management systems down through the organization with the aid of functional/business leadership
Approve critical quality policies, procedures, agreements, reports, and periodic reviews
Identify, develop and implement industry best-known methods and practices across the quality organization
Lead the development and delivery of business-wide staff quality training
Demonstrate expertise, train staff and advise Real Time in problem-solving and root cause/corrective action processes
Partner with corporate functions in the development and implementation of quality initiatives to improve the quality of our processes, products and service.
Implement cross-functional internal quality improvement programs and quality audits
Ensure the specifications for key modules are correct for the performance desired, and these specifications and the testing methods to validate adherence to the specifications are aligned across the supply chain, through integration, and into the field.
In partnership with Supply Chain, ensure supplier quality standards are met
Develop and provide executive-level quality metrics and analytics
Work cross-functionally to ensure Out of Box quality metrics are met/exceeded
Monitor organization success/failure; focus on data, results, and means to achieve
Develop, implement and evaluate departmental resource (QA and QC) and operational strategies in alignment with business objectives and capacity
Manage departmental financial budgets (capital, expense, resources)
Set the standard and discipline for our corporate quality programs through operational excellence, competence building, strategy, and innovation. This will include assessing standardized and auditable means of maintaining a high-performance organization standard for quality (eg, ISO compliance, 8D approach, ASQ certification, QIP)

Qualifications

Demonstrated track record in building, managing and leading a quality organization
Experience meeting SOX compliance requirements as it relates to quality
Analytical acumen and fact-based problem solving
Demonstrated experience developing metrics and analytics with a successful background in applying metrics to identify and address issues
Ability to build, develop, motivate and lead a high-performance operations team
Bachelors degree in industrial engineering, engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations
Understand and respond to the cyclical and competitive nature of the semiconductor industry
Minimum of 15 years' of experience within quality or equivalent
Minimum of 10 years' experience in managing quality organizations or equivalent
