The Information Technology department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a Lead Engineer/Application Systems and Integrations position. This is a regular, full-time position. Our IT team have an opportunity to work in a technically rich environment with a variety of systems. The Lead Engineer is a key team member who will lead and manage the implementation of upgrades and the introduction of new products, design and develop interfaces between the ERP system and third party software applications, and develop and maintain administrative databases. Responsibilities: * Design new applications based on functional requirements, maintain and enhance existing applications as requested * Develop and implement program code based on design and specifications using accepted standards * Write programs, data extract scripts, and reports using programming and report generation tools * Provide ongoing user support for assigned departments * Develop plans for installation of new and major upgrades of existing applications * Analyze, define, and document technical requirements for workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems * Provide support to a variety of department systems including maintenance and backup system administrator tasks * Communicate respectfully and effectively with people of all cultures in a manner that affirms the worth and preserves the dignity of individuals, families and communities * Work collaboratively and successfully with end user teams St. Catherine University in St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a comprehensive Catholic university and home to one of the nation's largest colleges for women, with associate and graduate programs for both women and men. Minimum Qualifications * Experience analyzing highly complex user problems and recommending short and long-term solutions. * Experience utilizing database development, and maintenance and report generation tools ( SQL , PL/ SQL , Oracle), Unix Linux programming. * Experience programming with one or more of the following: Java, Javascript, HTML etc. AND EITHER * Bachelor's degree * 5 years of experience at the senior programming/analyst level OR * Associate's degree * Eight years of programming/analyst experience Preferred Qualifications * Experience installing and maintaining ERP application software in a college/university environment We seek creative, adaptable staff who enjoy working in a university climate that promotes cultural diversity, multicultural understanding, and cultural fluency.
