Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Emerado, North Dakota is currently seeking a Manager Software Engineering 2. This candidate will be responsible for managing software development for multiple contracts for the Global Hawk program. This will include modeling and simulation development as well as integration and testing. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10 individuals to complete the full software development life cycle in an Agile software development environment. The successful candidate will collaborate and work in a team environment with their peers, eg Systems Engineering, Systems Test, and Electronics & Payloads, to ensure the team is meeting the mission engineering objectives of the contract. The successful candidate will implement and utilize several Agile development techniques and metrics to help manage team progress and quality throughout the life cycle. This position reports to the Global Hawk Software Manager. Tasking includes, but is not limited to

Responsible for managing and reporting budget and schedule status for software
Focal point for earned value and schedule reporting
Supports budget and IMS task planning based on received Budget Advice and associated TAs in coordination with SW IPT, SW Development Leads, SW Architects, and Product Owners
Works with SW program integration to ensure IMS and Earned Value tracking and reporting in accordance with program rhythms
Work package managers for IMS and earned value status in accordance with the defined program rhythms
Ensure earned value and schedule status is provided as required by the rhythm defined by the program
Support coordination and content for program EAC reviews at a rhythm defined by the program
Provide guidance and mentoring of work package managers for earned value and variance reporting
Review and sign the Work Authorization Documents in accordance with the NGC System Description guidelines
Support program Initial Baseline Review (IBRs) and associated review as required program
Provide Functional Management to direct reports, including career guidance, staffing, interviewing/onboarding, disciplinary actions, and direct engagement

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
Must have an active DOD secret clearance
Prior experience using agile development, including participating as Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and/or team member in an Agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with VMS (Vehicle Management Systems), and/or similar technologies
Prior experience with software test automation
Prior experience with sensor interfaces, including Radar, EOIR (Electro Optical Infra Red), and Optical
Prior experience managing software on an unmanned air vehicle contract such as Global Hawk, Triton, NATO, MQ-25 and/or Tactical Systems
Prior experience using Atlassian Tool Suite, JIRA, SonarQube, Subversion
Prior experience with continuous integration tools such as TeamCity and/or Jenkins.
Prior experience with Open Mission Systems Architecture
Advanced STEM Degree is a plus
Prior experience with cost account management and task/resource planning
