Job Summary

Administers nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care. Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients. Maintains certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Documents a thorough medical history from patient and performs or helps perform a physical exam to determine patient's needs. Discusses information collected from patient with registered nurse and administers medication or treatment as ordered. Consults with physician if necessary. Maintains stock of medical tools needed for registered nurse or physician. May transport and prepare patients for examinations. Counsels patients and family members on prevention and treatment plan for health issues under direction of registered nurse.

Department Details

Join our healthcare team in the Thief River Falls Medical Center, providing acute care primarily in a Med/Surg setting. Schedule hours for this position are 24 per week, and the employee can flex up to 40 hours per week. Full-time benefits and 401(k) are available with this position. **Sign-on bonus available

Qualifications

Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate's degree in practical nursing is preferred. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.
Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice.
