Job Summary

Provides oversight to the clinical operations of various service lines including the direction and oversight of the various clinical leaders.

Effectively designs and coordinates client care delivery models and/or care programs, policies, and procedures that describe how patients'/clients'/residents' nursing care needs or patient/client/resident populations receiving nursing care are assessed, evaluated, and met. Participates with governing body, management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the organization's decision-making structures and processes. Implements an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of clinical care delivered to patients/clients/residents. Ensures consistent level of clinical care is provided throughout the continuum of care. In addition, this position is responsible for approving and ensuring clinical policies, procedures, and standards describe and guide how the clinical staff provides the appropriate clinical care required by all patients/clients/residents and the populations served by the organization.

Provides leadership and vision for the philosophy and development of quality outcomes and clinical care within the communities and service lines served. Responsible for clinic administrative functions and all activities that contribute to the operational, clinical, and business function.

Oversees financials, clinic projects, data analysis, regulatory and legal issues, personnel management and employee annual performance appraisals. Provides leadership to staff, distributes work in order to achieve goals and objectives. Addresses staffing issues, budget considerations, employee satisfaction, and compliance issues. Coordinates with supporting departments, for example: coding, finance, information technology, human resources, etc.

Effectively collaborates with other members of the leadership team in making decisions about services, settings and organizational priorities. Promotes a practice environment that empowers clinical staff to provide safe, reliable, patient centered care that is effective, compassionate and efficient. Maintains a culture that fosters recruitment and retention of all staff.

Qualifications

Bachelors' degree in nursing required, masters preferred. Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).

Minimum five years nursing experience. Two years' management/leadership experience preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
