Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide professional nursing services to patients/residents at home. The nursing process includes the documentation of human responses to actual or potential health problems in the home health environment.

This practice includes dependent, interdependent and independent functions.

Collaborates with patient/resident and family, other inter-professional colleagues, such as physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.

Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned setting.

Cares for patients/residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients/residents in the home setting.

Responsible to implement the nursing process, the coordination and continuum of care, patient/resident assessment, patient/resident education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.

Thanks to the services available through Good Samaritan Society - Home Care, living at home is a viable option for seniors of all abilities. We serve the counties of Brown, Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet, Sibley, Scott, Waseca and Rice.

  • Part-Time - 15-20 hours/week
  • Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 - Scheduled time may vary based on how many patients. Can work with morning or afternoon times throughout the weekdays.
  • Visits would include wound care, labs, medication management, teaching, and general assessment.
  • Meet with clients within 60 miles of the St. Peter area.
  • Annual Wage Increases
  • Receive Mileage Reimbursement for travel between client visits
  • Drivers license and transportation required
  • Eligible for $1000 Sign-On Bonus paid within 1st year of employment

Qualifications
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the MN State Board of Nursing.
