Position Information

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. There are two shift available: 10:00am-2:00pm or 4:00pm-7:30pm. There will be approximately 19 working hours per week and includes every other weekend.

Position Description & Details

Is directly accountable and responsible to the Food Service Operations Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for assisting with the food service process in the Food Services Department.

DUTIES:
  1. Assists with routine food preparation and serving (i.e., preparing salads, making sandwiches, etc.) as needed.
  2. Assists with catering preparation and setup.
  3. Assists in the production of Grab N Go grocery meals and stocking as needed.
  4. Assists in maintaining the dishwasher and the dish return area.
  5. Operates the cash register in recording the sale of food items.
  6. Operates various kitchen equipment and cleaning equipment
  7. Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of the work area.
  8. Assists with the arranging and cleaning of dining tables.
  9. Assists in the preparation and setup for banquets, special dinners, or events.
  10. Maintains required safety and health standards.
  11. Supports innovation, creativity and ideas to improve/enhance processes, functions, etc. in the department and as a whole for the college.
  12. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  2. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  3. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  4. Requires attention to detail.

  1. Food service experience
