Job Summary

Implement new or updated programs or portions of large scale philanthropic initiatives. Project impact costs, quality, efficiency, and achievement of objectives across departments, often with enterprise-wide impacts. Apply advanced technical and philanthropy knowledge to solve complex problems which may impact service lines or corporate service or regional entity.
Serve as the lead development officer for the Sanford Foundation, providing regional leadership, vision and strategic direction for accomplishing philanthropic success.
Direct fundraising and other initiatives, and promote support for the foundation in the community and region. Manage a portfolio of donors and focus a significant amount of time pursuing mega, major and planned gifts, and the relationships between regional leadership and donors.
Responsible for the comprehensive development, implementation, administration and evaluation of the region's goals, budget, fundraising and stewardship efforts. Embrace and promote operational integration.
Assure the raising and utilizing of funds in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and the donor's wishes, and assist with the development and implementation of rational standards, and monitor appropriate indicators for quality and continuous improvement.
Strategically build a productive and focused team to achieve established fundraising goals and objectives. Create campaigns and programs to fund immediate and capital needs, as well as build the net asset base through endowments, annual campaigns, planned and major giving, and special events.
Manage and lead fundraising and development practices for regional entities as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree health care administration, business or related field.
Seven years of fundraising experience, including management and leadership of a comprehensive development program and a successful record in personally raising funds required. Experience supervising volunteers preferred.
Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred.
