Edgewood's senior living community Rapid City is looking for a  casual/PRN Occupational Therapist , to help our residents  maintain, improve and thrive day-to-day in their home environment , wherever it is they call home! The perfect candidate will serve as an integral part of the CaringEdge team, the health services division of Edgewood Healthcare.

We're looking for someone equally as dedicated to the delivery of effective, evidenced-based clinical practice with a focus on geriatric care provided through the outpatient therapy platform. Responsibilities:

• Develop a written plan of care specific to each patient and implements therapy services based on that plan of care. 
•  Initiates occupational therapy program and instructs other personnel in certain phases of occupational therapy with which they may work with a patient, as well as instructing them as to the goals of the occupational therapy program for the patient by participating in case conferences. 
• Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries based on the attainment of goals. 
• Participates in peer consultation process. 
• Supervises occupational therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations. 
• Potential to function as the therapy director, based on experience, if applicable

Minimum Requirements

 

• Possesses a Masters in occupational therapy approved by an accredited organization. 
• Licensed to practice as occupational therapist within the state. 
• Possesses and maintains current CPR certification. 
• Problem solving skills and ability to multi-task 
• Compassionate with good communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills
