Job Summary
The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, is seeking an assistant or associate professor to join our Master of Science Occupational Therapy Program that includes new academic curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and community partnerships through experientials and interprofessional education. The position is available immediately with a June 2021 targeted start date. This is a full-time, 11-month tenure-track core faculty position.

Key Results/Responsibilities
Responsibilities include teaching within the occupational therapy curriculum, student advising, pursuit of independent scholarship, and participation in college, department, and community service activities. The successful candidate will work well with diverse populations and will advance the Benedictine values of the College.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a research or post-professional doctorate degree. Candidates may be considered with an entry-level occupational therapy doctorate degree or a Master’s degree in occupational therapy with a plan for completing a research/post-professional doctorate degree within the initial years of employment. Continued employment would be contingent upon progress toward the terminal, post-professional/research doctorate degree (PhD, ScD, EdD, or OTD ). A minimum of five years of clinical experience is required. The candidate must be NBCOT certified, and eligible for OT licensure in Minnesota. Evidence of cultural humility and success in settings with diverse populations is essential.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to present a positive and professional attitude with students, colleagues, clients, local and national community members. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent work traits including interpersonal, written and oral communication, organizational, and time management skills. Confidence with technology and willingness to adapt to new technologies is essential.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred degree is a research doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD) or post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy. Teaching or clinical practice experience in the areas of research, adult rehabilitation, work and industry, administration, and community/home health is preferred. Consideration will be given to the candidate’s area(s) of expertise.
