Automotive Service Manager

Thielen Motors, Inc. is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join their dynamic leadership team.

The Service Manager is responsible for all operations within the service department - from hiring and managing technicians and service advisors, to customer service and warranty work.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday shift 8:00am - 12:00pm

Job Responsibilities:

* Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service
* Serving as a liaison between service technicians and customers
* Take ownership of the customer's experience by carrying out those additional assignments that allow the dealership to leave a positive impression with the customer
* Manage and hire technicians and service advisors
* Monitor the Distribution of work between technicians
* Prioritize required services
* Ensure customer has a positive dealership experience
* Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether phone or in person, to assure the customer does not get mishandled
* Spend quality time building relationships with the customers
* Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them
* Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys
* Develops and implements a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business
* Monitors technician's productivity reports and corresponding payroll record

Job Requirements:

* At least 1 year previous service manager experience
* General Motors (GM) experience is a plus but not required
* Technical automotive knowledge
* Demonstrated ability to manage others
* Organized and friendly personality
* Computer proficiency
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver s license with an acceptable driving record
