Scope:

  • Establish Knute Nelson’s technology vision within the organization’s strategic framework.
  • Develop, manage, provide work direction and feedback for the IT department.
  • Conduct market research for technology to ensure evolving business needs are met.
  • Creating and establishing technology policies and procedures.
  • Acts as a good steward of Knute Nelsons resources and control technology department budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the company’s technical vision and leads all aspects of the company’s technological development.
  • Directs Knute Nelsons strategic direction, continuous improvement and future growth within the technology space.
  • Develops and implements long-term strategy for all computing platforms and storage technology, supporting business objectives and goals.
  • Translates business and IT strategic plans into organized and actionable design plans for the department ensuring that critical systems are meeting business requirements.
  • Works in a consultative fashion with other department leaders as an advisor of technologies that may improve their optimization, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conducts research and case studies on leading technologies and make determinations on the probability of implementation.
  • Acts as a good steward of Knute Nelsons resources and control technology department budgets.
  • Manage day to day operations and provide guidance of the technology team members.
  • Evaluate and budget recommended solutions that comply with the corporate vision.

  • Familiarity with Fortinet products, Mitel, Microsoft Cloud solutions and healthcare EMR systems.
  • Actively drives the strategic partnership with key vendor and partner relationships.
  • Has responsibility for hiring, training, motivating, and retaining top talent resulting in the development and maintenance of a high-performance team.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, information technology/systems or related preferred.
  • 10+ years of information technology/systems experience required.
  • Working technical knowledge of current technology hardware, software, protocols, standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Leadership/management experience preferred.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents and visitors.
