Purchasing Specialist

We are currently partnering with a premier Minneapolis based manufacturer to find a Purchasing Specialist to join their team for a 3-6 months engagement. The role will start in a fully remote capacity, but is likely to become a hybrid remote/in-office role as COVID restrictions subside, so we are only considering local talent for this role at this time. Your specific duties for this position include:- Assist with the generation and processing of purchase orders.- Interact directly with the order entry and customer service teams to validate details of orders, ensuring that all lead times are appropriately taken into consideration for fulfillment of the request- Interact with others on the purchasing team, seeking guidance if an answer to a procedure is unknown- Validate and recategorize items that have been returned back to the manufacturer, preparing supporting paperwork.- Assist with inventory cycle counts and other inventory related tasksTo be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 2+ years of prior purchasing or buying experience, ideally in a manufacturing industry. Prior experience with an ERP such as Oracle, SAP, Netsuite, Peoplesoft, Epicor, etc. is highly desired.
