Performs clerical and secretarial duties and adhering to file management policies and procedures of the healthcare facility. Maintains strict confidentiality according to healthcare organization and regulatory agency requirements, such as Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Works with computer-based document retrieval system of a healthcare facility to locate, print and deliver document and images as requested. Assists with answering telephones, filing, photocopying, image management, faxing, sorting mail, distributing reports, etc. May assist with patient needs. Some in this role will maintain schedules and/or make appointments for the department.
This position will work in the Orthotic and Prosthetic Department. They will assist with many daily functions of the O and P team including but not limited to: rooming patients, preparing casting rooms, preparing paperwork, cleaning and restocking rooms, scheduling patients for follow up appointments, helping practitioners track patient projects, among other tasks.
The hours for this position are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in an office and/or medical setting preferred.
