IT Information Specialist

The principle duties of the IT Information Specialist position consist of the following:

• Processing of new purchases and renewals, reconciliation of asset information and tasks related to managing our hardware and software IT assets. Other Duties include but are not limited to:

IT ordering

• Obtain quotes from vendors for purchase or renewal requests
• Compare quotes and determine best purchasing option available for the company
• Create requisitions for purchase order processing; monitor purchase order creation and expedite as appropriate
• Process orders and disconnections for company mobile phones
• Place orders against blanket agreements
• Validate purchase data and asset information in our asset tracking system
• Resolve any billing and payment issues
• Approve invoices for payment and assign costs to appropriate accounts

Asset Management

• Perform periodic license reconciliation
• Reconcile information in the in our asset tracking system
• Process equipment surplus requests
• Process theft/loss reports
• Catalog new media and upload it the software repository

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, HSED, or GED required. Additional secondary education with an IT focus is preferred.
