DescriptionRobert Half Finance is searching for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their team on a full-time basis. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting throughout the monthly close. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very complex as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This Bloomington, Minnesota area-based position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work.Responsibilities- Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers- Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives- Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts- Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request- Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll- Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner- Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on- Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation- Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing processRequirements- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics- Comprehensive knowledge of cash management- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases- Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision- Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks- 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines- Skilled with ERP systems- Competent with spreadsheets and databasesRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
