Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an International Tax Senior Manager might include the following:
  • Serve clients on a variety of international tax planning and compliance matters including in-bound and out-bound transactions, cross-border individual income, gift & estate taxation, export tax incentives (IC-DISC) and transfer pricing.
  • Develop and facilitate internal and external training and other presentations on international tax topics.
  • Assist in building an awareness of international tax issues and opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
  • Conduct research related to international tax issues to maintain and expand knowledge base.
  • Manage client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
  • Evaluate the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.
  • Provide feedback in order to develop the international tax practice.
  • Capitalize on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines.
  • Manage, train and coach staff on the international tax team.
  • Manage client billing for services provides.
  • Develop business with clients within industries and markets that meet Firm objectives.
  • Participate in community organizations and professional association meetings/forums.

Who You Are
  • You have extensive knowledge of international tax issues along with strong federal tax background and experience working with closely-held businesses.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoy public speaking. You have past experience managing and mentoring a team and take pride in helping others.
  • You have experience in networking and developing business.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and are a multi-tasker. You are able to manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • You have strong computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, have an active CPA license or JD, and have a minimum of 7 years of tax experience in public accounting with significant experience focused on international tax.. A Master's degree or LLM in Taxation is preferred but is not a requirement.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110,000-150,000.

Benefits for the position will include Medical, Dental, and Vision.

This position could have discretionary bonus potential.
