The project is upgrading NMS from v1.12 to v2.4, to be deployed in October 2021. Given the geographic footprint, duplicate instances are in place, one for Central Time Zone and one for Mountain Time Zone. Project activities will include: technical environment leadership, NMS preprocessor support, technical defect resolution leadership, and other technical, administrative activities as required by the project.Summary of Responsibilities:Hands-on position delivering technical leadership related to the Oracle NMS application. Includes technical management of multiple environments, Collaborates with the project manager, Project Architect, Test Lead, and offshore application support team. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.These tasks include:- Environment Managemento Confirm / assist with establishment of NMS environments, including server setup confirmation. NMS v2.4 DEV and TEST environment are already established for both Central and Mountain Time Zones and will require review and confirmation.o Setup of all remaining Non-Prod environments (Train, DR, QA) and final PROD environments, including WebLogic and BI Publisher. This includes smoke testing environments and identifying any issues prior to turning environments over to project team for loading and use.o Ensure environments are consistently current with latest releases, patches, hotfixes and ensure WebLogic servers are configured consistently for shared resources across environmentso Ensure consistent and successful functioning of key processes, including model build, customer load, SCADA load among otherso Support performance testing as needed, including environment preparation, storm simulation, performance capture and analysis, and issue resolutiono Support data migrations, data refreshes for various testing cycles, and other data-related activities as requiredo Provide leadership to in house (offshore) and vendor technical resources, working with PM, PA and Test Lead on work assignments required to drive overall project schedule and support testing efforts through final deployment and stabilization.- NMS Preprocessor Supporto Provide hands on technical support for preprocessor issues and configuration corrections requiredo Review identified preprocessor issues for resolution with upgradeo Provide analysis leadership on newly identified issues residing in the preprocessor, with quick turnaround on resolution- Technical Defect Resolution Leadershipo Lead, as required, analysis and resolution to identified issues during test cycleso Work with software vendors as needed to coordinate software deliveries, provide detailed information on bugs, etc.location: MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesotajob type: Contractsalary: $62 - 65 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelorsresponsibilities:Skill Set Requirements:o Minimum 5 years experience supporting Oracle NMS v1.x or v2.xo Documented experience successfully managing technical aspects of large NMS upgrades.o Documented experience with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements, planning, high level and detailed design, execution, testing and defect remediation, and implementation.o Proven experience managing technical environments, demonstrating accuracy and consistency across multiple hierarchical environments.o Demonstrated ability to analyze technical issues, identify and crisply articulate root cause, drive resolution of issues.o Proven experience with various enterprise application integration technologies, specifically ESB, SOAP/Webservice, WebLogic, and database integrations. Ability to coordinate with a dedicated enterprise integration team.o Proven experience supporting performance testing, specifically focused on analysis of performance run results and suggested mitigations for identified performance issues.o Familiarity with data warehousing and business analytics.o Familiarity with security considerations. Ability to coordinate with a dedicated security team.o Experience with data modeling.o Experience in coordinating development/technical activities across a large organizationo Experience developing structured detailed designs and detailed test cases if requiredo Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
