DescriptionAccountemps has an immediate opportunity for a self-motivated individual for a Purchasing/Buyer position with one of our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and energetic team.This position is a critical link in the supply chain that serves customers and focuses on all aspects of the supply chain of the division. The Purchaser is responsible to purchase goods and services assigned by the Supply Chain Manager. As the key team member to raise the motivation of suppliers to higher levels of value or services for company growth.Other Responsibilities Include:??? Purchasing materials and goods involved with procuring products and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and etc.??? Receive and review requisitions requesting goods or services.??? Obtain product and/or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.??? Insure cost reductions by vendor interaction, product comparison and knowledge by continuously managing vendor relationships??? Conducts pre-buying investigation, quote/bidding management, value analysis, negotiation, vendor selectionRequirements??? College experience preferred or equivalent work experience.??? 2 to 4+ years of purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment is required.??? A strong understanding and working knowledge of computerized order, order entry, planning, and inventory systems are also required.???
