Edgewood's Meadow Wind and Park Place senior living communities in Casper are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) , to support our residents' effective communication with the world around them, including a specific focus on communication and cognition as it relates to our memory care residents. The perfect candidate will serve as an integral part of the CaringEdge team, the health services division of Edgewood Healthcare.

We're looking for someone as equally dedicated to the delivery of effective, evidenced-based clinical practice with a focus on geriatric care provided through both the outpatient therapy and home health platforms. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Conducting appropriate evaluations.
  • Assess home environment (as appropriate).
  • Identify equipment needs relative to speech/language function.
  • Identify functional speech defects and establish a plan of care to improve patient's function.
  • Administer speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or equipment.
  • Recommend communication devices/aids as indicated.

The SLP will also confer with the attending physician and other organization personnel to support coordinated and comprehensive care that contributes to the total plan of care, participate in case conferences, in-services and other meetings required to support coordinated and comprehensive care, prepare and submit notes per organization policy and identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refer as appropriate. The CaringEdge SLP will also perform other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech language pathology services.

Minimum Requirements

 

You would be a great addition to our team if you possess the following:
  • Minimum of 1-year clinical experience, required. 
  • Master's Degree obtained through an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program, required. 
  • Current and unrestricted license in state where services will be provided. 
  • Valid driver's license and insurance. 
  • Current CPR Certification
