We have an Immediate need for an Electrical Controls Designer.


Overview:

- The Company is an Engineering Services industry - they design and build custom automated equipment for a variety of customers, most of which are medical device.


- Electrical/Controls Designer position

o Do NOT need a full-blown Controls Engineer - aka anything with PLC programming, Robotics, etc. is a NICE TO HAVE, but not Required

o Looking for strong experience with AutoCAD Electrical Designer - need to be self-sufficient and advanced. This is NOT just a Drafter position.

o Experience working with custom automated equipment, NOT process controls

o Experience with schematics, control panel layout, electrical machine design

o BSEE degree is preferred but not required

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- A minimum of an Associates degree in Electrical Engineering; BSEE preferred but not required

- 5+ years' experience in the following areas:

- AutoCAD Electrical / Machine Design

- Must have basic knowledge of the relationship of parts in an assembly.

- Must have intimate knowledge and experience with analog and digital inputs and outputs.

- Must have applicable knowledge of the UL, NEC, NFPA, and CE code.

- Must have familiarity and knowledge of servomotors, stepper motors, DC motors, and AC motors and their associated motion controllers.

- Must be able to understand mechanical and software needs and integrate those needs into electrical designs.

- Must have intimate knowledge in applying basic mathematics, and algebra skills.

- Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills.

- Must be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously to budget and schedule.
