We are currently working with a client to find a Continuous Improvement Manager to lead the implementation of Lean Six Sigma. This is to be done through the training and mentoring of Yellow Belts, Green Belts and Black Belts. This position will be responsible for high priority, large scale projects that span across multiple departments and are critical to the success of the business. The Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager also has responsibility for developing and guiding the Quality policy and culture.

Salary Range: $100k/yr. - $110k/yr. (Including Bonus)
Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities:

Actively participates in creating and managing the Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan to achieve profitable growth
Successfully deploy Lean Six Sigma company-wide
Develop Lean Six Sigma Training materials
Teach Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Yellow Belt training
Mentor Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belt projects.
Emphasizes a Quality at the source mindset and leads the quality improvement function to all levels of the organization with the Mantra " I will not pass on defects"
Collaborate with enterprise-wide business partners to define improvement objectives, success measures, team roles and responsibilities
Utilize effective Continuous Improvement practices including, but not limited to: Lean, Six Sigma, KANBAN, and 5S+1 to execute projects in a timely manner, and to be the primary educator on these methods
Balance multiple Continuous Improvement projects spanning various disciplines, and managing interdependencies and transitions between project teams and functional teams
Build consultative working relationships with business partners
Challenge business assumptions and establish an effective fact-based decision-making process
Ensure team is appropriately resourced to meet business objectives
Effectively partner with vendors as necessary in order to fulfill the initiatives
Proactively assess and monitor Continuous Improvement projects
Uncover risks and provide resolutions or alternatives through the influence, persuasion and coaching of business partners, key stakeholders and key influencers
Proactively identify interdependencies across the organization; establish effective mechanisms to manage these dependencies and close gaps
Manage, lead and develop teams, coach and mentor staff on leadership competencies, methods, and effective execution
Review project deliverables and resources to ensure Critical to Quality requests, project timelines, and that the scope of projects are in line with the Strategic Plan
Maintain processes, standards, and templates in a constantly evolving playbook
Assist in the hiring process as appropriate
Collaborate on the CI Council to ensure Best Practices are shared and implemented between sister companies and the parent company
Provide the vision and direction to ensure successful quality strategy implementation, sustainment and reporting
Sponsor & support corrective actions to current product quality issues & concerns, support any containment actions required, and support implementation of engineering changes, where appropriate
Provide leadership and direction for the quality of the business' s products and services
Ensure compliance to standards
Lead a customer-focused, results-oriented approach by understanding and defining customer needs, and using them to drive improvements throughout the organization
Lead high-performing, self-directed technical team members through the project planning process: identify work items, estimates, dependencies, and assignments.
Demonstrate efficient and effective project kickoffs and planning methods to create an accurate project and risk management plan.
Manage the ERP project, including the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in the re-implementation, which will include directing team members, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure clear understanding of scope, timelines, and budget constraints.

Required:

A four-year degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited university
3+ years of supervisory experience in the area of Continuous Improvement
Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
3+ years of progressive experience in a process improvement environment, including Lean Six Sigma implementation experience
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of Lean Six Sigma including but not limited to: Value Stream Mapping Voice of the Customer, Kaizen, KANBAN, and 5S+1
Ability to learn new concepts and effectively pass knowledge on to others through classroom training and the design of practical experiences and exercises
Must possess strong attention to detail
Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor
Solid interpersonal relationship and communication skills, both verbal and written
