Work in collective bargaining environment.Student Recruitment??? Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and outreach activities for all graduate programs in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications department; identify opportunities to promote and develop innovative academic graduate and undergraduate programs that are in high demand.Budget Management??? Work closely with the Vice President and Deans in preparing and prioritizing budget needs based on available revenue and resources. Oversee operating, Salary, and Revenue budgets for reporting units.Planning???Oversee strategic and development planning for the divisions.???Provide leadership and planning for graduate programs and Graduate Studies office.??? Monitor policies and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance for direct report areas.??? Assist in determining and developing new and innovative education opportunities and other relevant program initiatives.Data and Reporting???Initiate, direct and distribute information and data reports to the President, Vice Presidents, and Enrollment Management leadership relevant to retention practices and policy development, and student success program development, revision or discontinuation.Enhance and Grow Programming???Collaborate with academic leadership to lead, develop, and execute opportunities for improvement and innovation in the quality and outcomes of existing academic programs, retention and success of current students, while working to identify and develop new undergraduate and graduate programs to meet the needs of today's learners and employers. This will increasingly require cross-disciplinary and multi-modal delivery of curriculum in a cost-effective manner.??? Support the assurance of academic program quality, teaching, research, and service excellence.??? Oversee the College's Institutional Effectiveness system efforts for all direct report areas.??? Provide leadership and assistance in the creation and implementation of effective faculty professional development opportunities and initiatives.??? Assist with the development of Academic Affairs and College policies.??? Handle student issues and/or parent inquiries and petitions as appropriate.??? Assist with the oversight of Academic Affairs' communications and webpage.??? Represent the VPAA and Academic Affairs on academic standing committees and selected committee meetings, ceremonial functions, and other meetings as needed.Evaluate Programming??? The Associate Vice President will ensure an ongoing and comprehensive program evaluation and outcomes assessment with actionable recommendations for improvement. Additionally, this position will lead accreditation and re-accreditation activities on behalf of the Vice President of Academic Affairs.External Representation and Constituent Relations???Represent the University to various constituencies, both internal and external. Work with regional leaders, students, faculty, staff and other administrators. Includes travel and communication to represent the university in a wide range of venues: regional meetings regarding graduate studies, libraries, faculty development, and other division priorities; state-wide consortia; Tri-College consortium, system and statewide committees, regional networks, and national organizations.Committee/Task Force Leadership??? Provide leadership to various committees that report to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Advocate for the University through membership and participation on campus-wide committees.Grants Officer???Serve in an oversight capacity for the grants officer for the university for external grants, such as National Science Foundation, National Institute for Health, National Education Association, etc., including fund allocation.Other??? Perform other duties as assigned by the VPAA.???
