This short-term temporary Legal Assistant employment is based in the South Minneapolis, Minnesota area. People with a real passion for the legal industry will love this job! Your responsibilities in this role

- Compose court filings, sometimes electronically

- Keep maintenance of the case calendar and observance of deadlines

- Prepare correspondence and pleadings, plan out service on parties

- Prepare a variety of documents and correspondence

- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with handling phone lines when at high volume

- File hard copies of documents as well as maintain the electronic document system

- Assist in the preparation of exhibit binders for depositions, trials, and hearings

- Aid attorneys with key discovery and client intake

- Uphold the standards of confidentiality at all times

Job Requirements:
- Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

- Excellent attention to detail

- Demeanor to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines

- Previous legal work experience and a dedication to integrity

- Discovery experience desired

- Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

- Incoming phone call management skills required

- Excellent knowledge of Internet research, calendaring, word processing and spreadsheets

- Eagerness to learn quickly
