Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Serves as part of the leadership team to help set strategic direction and ensure department goals align with that direction. A successful executive team member will thrive in a diverse cooperative, collaborative environment.

• Directs and manages the Consumer Loan department working alongside senior management to provide input on overall strategy and guidance
• Recommends, implements, and maintains products and services that increase revenue and enhance member service
• Proactively develops lending resources and personnel. Contributes creative ideas/resources and data to drive innovation of the lending portfolio
• Ensures lending portfolio goals and operational team goals to support lending are established, tracked, and met through collaborative efforts and agreement between management. Champions a strong 'Great Personalized Service ' culture.
• Underwrites loans in accordance with loan level authority and ensures all consumer loans are properly opened and administered
• Maintains an open line of communication between the Consumer Loan Department and other related areas to effectively collaborate
• Ensures all Consumer Lending procedural and training manuals are current and within guidelines
• Ensures the compiling of reports financial data as required by the credit union and other governmental regulations
• Prepares and provides a monthly recap of all activities and prepares statistical reports as scheduled
