Engineer III

Kelly Services is seeking an Project Engineer III for our well-known client in the Medical Device industry in Brooklyn Park MN. This is a 7-month contract position with a possibility of extension.

Location: Brooklyn Park MN

Duration: 7 months

Payrate: $35-40/hr.

Job Description

Project lead coordinating and processing updates to technical mechanical drawings and documentation of a medical device. Provides tasks and technical direction to team of engineers to complete and release updates, coordinating with cross functional team members to ensure completion within the needed timelines.

Responsibilities

• Act independently with minimal supervision to coordinate for product management drawing updates to be performed by a cross-site team of engineers.
• Track the project status and provide updates to stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure on-time completion.
• Check and review redlines and blacklines of drawings, design documents, and coordinate reviews required by other stakeholders and/or the QMS (Quality Management System).
• Upload and route completed technical documents and drawings following QMS procedures for approval by extended team using document control system.
• Lead the resolution of any issues, and provide guidance and direction to technical team on resolving issues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the basic principles in mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering disciplines with a strong understanding of technical drawings (ASME Y14.5), requirements, inspection and creating/reviewing redlines with mechanical emphasis.
• Experience and expertise in using and following document and design control system and processes per ISO13485.
• Must have experience running projects that have several team members.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Able to work from home.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 3-5 years recent and relevant experience
• Software experience and expertise with CAD and vault systems (preferably Solidworks modelling / drawings and EPDM), PDF document creating/editing, and document control systems (preferably TeamCenter/TcU).
