Direct Hire Diesel Mechanic Position - $14-25 per hour
Manpower is currently hiring Diesel Mechanics for 1st shift in Oakdale, WI at $14-25 per hour depending on experience. Job duties and responsibilities include: diagnosis, adjustment, maintenance and repair or overhaul of trucks, buses and all types of diesel engines.

What is the job?
* Make various adjustments, alignments and repairs to correct any vehicle deficiencies
* Conduct inspections, test drives and diagnostic tests to determine the condition of the vehicles
* Test engine safety and combustion control standards to comply with federal and state vehicle requirements
* Clean, wash and paint vehicles to maintain appearance
* Record services and repairs to maintain accurate vehicle records
* Complete preventative maintenance, install part upgrades, winterize vehicles and control corrosion to keep vehicles available
* Follow operating instruction, troubleshoot breakdowns, maintain supplies, perform preventative maintenance and call for repairs to keep shop equipment operational
* Place orders and keep stock of inventory to ensure necessary supplies at hand
* Collaborate with coworkers to get repairs done in a timely manner
Shift details
* Full time hours with opportunity for overtime
* 1st shift Monday - Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm
* $14 - 25 per hour depending on experience.
* Direct hire opportunity. You will be hired by the client from the 1st day!

* Heavy Equipment experience,
* Hands-on experience with engines (diesel), transmissions, hydraulics, diagnosis, adjustment, maintenance and repair or overhaul of trucks, buses, and all types of diesel engines,
* Decision making and problem-solving skills,
* Reporting research results,
* Self-motivated and results driven,
* Quality and safety focus,
* Productive and efficient in tasks,
* Ability to analyze information.
