Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Building Maintenance person. A Maintenance Person does various jobs and duties around the company to keep the buildings and facilities in proper working order. Tasks may include preventative maintenance and repairs to plumbing, HVAC, interior and exterior lighting, mowing and any other miscellaneous duties.Responsibilities:Heavyinvolvementwith exterior lawn care, including mowing, weed removal, and lawn sprinkler repairsInspectand monitorplumbing, heating, air conditioning, and lighting systems withinmetrofacilitiesMay handle preventative HVAC maintenance, such ascharging AC units, repairing and replacing filters and beltsPerform standard general maintenance work, such as repairing and replacing filters, changing lightbulbs, and assisting higher level maintenance personnel on jobsPerform an inventory of tools and equipment to maintain sufficient stock levels, while informing a supervisor of noticeable stock inconsistenciesFile paper reports or log requests inZnetfor preventative maintenance performed and any significant required repair or replacement workRespond to phone requests regarding general maintenance, HVAC, lighting, and plumbing concerns from maintenance management, branch managers, and service staffPerform seasonal preventative maintenance walkthroughs of facilities to determine potential repairs neededAssists in snow removalof lots, sidewalks, and entrywaysduring winter monthsQualifications:2 yeardegree preferred;High School Diploma or GED required3+ years maintenance experiencepreferredBoiler's Licenseor willing to obtainRefrigeration license preferredor willing to obtainGeneral knowledge of safety practices for maintenance jobsClean driving recordrequiredPersonalAttributes: Attention to Detail, Efficiency, Problem Solving, Commitment/Dependability, Planning and OrganizationTravel:Up to10% travel*IndOMinimum Physical Requirements:Push/pull up to 60 lbsLift up to 75 lbs from floorLift up to 45 lbs from waistCarry up to 55 lbsLift bulky objectsStanding, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, fingering/graspingAble to drive long distances (within Ziegler territory primarily).Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
