The Ascent Services Group is seeking an Executive User Experience Specialist for one of our enterprise clients who have helped millions gain confidence in their financial futures through their stellar network of over 10K Financial Advisors.

This position is responsible with partnering with business and technology teams to create effective, usable and satisfying user experiences within Technology applications. This role is responsible for designing and conducting both user-focused product design research and usability tests for technology applications, websites and other digital experiences across various platforms including desktop, and mobile.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a steward for the user experience.
• Research and identifying user needs and goals, task and workflow modeling as well as regularly scanning the competitive landscape.
• Based on a clear understanding of business goals, assist in developing the UX research strategy and plan for each project, including validation of customer needs.
• Monitor and document the results of usability tests, interviews and site visits.
• Organize and analyze survey data and perform other appropriate usability assessments as needed in order to gauge the usability of new and existing features/products.
• Validate prototypes with users and business stakeholders.
• Perform validation user testing to ensure features and products meet business and usability objectives.
• Regularly review usage statistics and perform analysis to identify improvement opportunities.-
• Help interpret and understand user feedback and provide input for design decisions based on that feedback.
• Educate project teams on core usability principles.
• Develop a current knowledge in usability-related research and developments and how they might apply to the usability process.
• Work with the UX and development teams to identify potential usability issues early in the process and collaborate to define solutions that help users effectively complete their tasks.
• Perform various project management duties including establishing timelines, coordinating tasks, scheduling and ensuring project documentation is complete.
• Maintain standards and styles documentation, Cascading Style Sheets and graphics library.
• Create personas, profiles and usage scenarios based on user research.
• Summarize testing results and communicate testing and research results to various audiences. -
• Train, promote and evolve the importance of user-centered design and UX practices within the Technology and business organizations.
• Develop and maintain a solid understanding of competing products that exist in the market (competitive benchmarking).
• Educate business and technology users on user centered design best practices.
• Develop user experience best practices into standards that can be applied across multiple products.

Qualifications:

• Over five plus years enterprise UX experience preferably in the financial industry.
• Proficient in qualitative and quantitative user experience research methodologies.
• Has worked with multiple audiences
• Flexible in their approach to meet the product teams in various stages of production.
• Comfortable in executing moderated research in a virtual setting.

• Comfort with conducting research operations for themselves including recruiting and scheduling interviews
• Agency experience would be beneficial for relationship management.
• Understanding how to apply UX research in waterfall setting and validation research for agile.
• Bachelors Degree in UX and/ or related fields.
