This role will measure financial performance metrics for client partnerships, provide validation and guidance for improvement initiatives, and create internal forecasts for bonuses/incentives earned from clients. Success in this role will be dependent on an ability to successfully navigate and influence change across a matrix environment with some guidance, quickly adapt to changing priorities, and the ability to clearly articulate business issues with recommended solutions --- in the context of a fast paced and high-growth environment that has a commitment to making health care better for everyone.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Primary ownership of detailed financial model to forecast, measure, and validate performance improvement metrics for client partnerships
  • Support operations teams in understanding how their actions will impact the measured results and financial outcomes
  • Build strong partnerships with Optum360 project and operations teams and client's relationship management team
  • Implement process and procedures for the measurement and validation of financial performance metrics
  • Contribute to project charters by assessing financial performance metrics within the ROI for new projects
  • Establish and implement financial performance metric audits and testing to ensure results match projections
  • Providing broader support for other operational and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of financial modeling (Excel) or analytics experience
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic working environment with many near term and long term deliverables (aka strong organizational and time management skills)
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive bonus/incentive opportunities
  • Proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment; financial acumen
  • Strong executive presence, communication and influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency using PowerPoint to concisely communicate ideas
  • Ability to travel occasionally as needed (minimal national travel)
  • You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's US Telecommuting Policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA
  • Experience with SQL and database management
  • Experience in revenue cycle operations or directly supporting operations
  • Healthcare industry knowledge and/or experience

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
