Position Overview

The Benefits Lead oversees and administers benefits and wellness programs for Digi-Key, including communications, compliance, and vendor partnerships. This role is responsible for scaling and ensuring peak competitiveness of our benefits & perks.

This role works within our Total Rewards team and closely with the entire HR team. Our goal is to invest in and provide compelling benefits and perks that support employees in key areas of their lives - both inside and outside of work.

Working in close partnership with key internal stakeholders and external partners, this leader will manage and execute benefit programs in alignment to the total rewards philosophy. This experienced benefits professional will ensure the plans are designed and managed in compliance with all applicable regulations. As part of the Total Rewards organization within Human Resources, the Benefits Lead consults with business leaders globally on a wide range of benefits topics and projects.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...

Consult with HR business leaders on the following:

  • Benefits philosophy, design and execution
  • External marketplace trends, providing expertise in competitive practice and benchmarks
  • Identification of opportunities to strengthen competitiveness of programs through networking with external benefits professionals
  • Ongoing, regular support to achieve prioritized business objectives


Manage benefits programs, analysis and workstreams

  • Provide business perspective and design of Global Benefits programs, policies, procedures, practices, systems, communications and reporting of key metrics including financial planning.
  • Own the execution of the benefits strategic plan
  • Lead the deployment of programs changes and updates, including consulting with benefits program owners on any function specific nuances
  • Bring to life benefits reporting and dashboard analysis for business aligned groups
  • Mentor and build benefit administration skillset within the Total Rewards team


Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • ​ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience leading benefit programs
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience managing employer benefits
  • Expertise in benefits principles, program design, communication, and implementation
  • Ability to work with complex concepts and data, and communicate them clearly
  • Superior skills in quantitative analysis, including advanced skills in Excel, and other database tools
  • Ability to work at and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to interact with customers, business partners, and employees

Physical Requirements
  • Be able to perform repetitive motions that involve the hands, head and other parts of your body
  • Be able to sit at a workstation and operate computer devices such as keyboard, mouse, screen
