Sr. Payroll Specialist

DescriptionSupport the Payroll department as a Sr. Payroll Specialist at a growing company in the Service industry Accountemps has partnered with, based in the New Brighton, Minnesota area. The company is a dynamic, fast-growing team, looking for an individual who can communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. The Sr. Payroll Specialist's job duties consist of data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. This Payroll Clerk opportunity is a long-term temporary employment role.Responsibilities- Administer and distribute reports as instructed- Conduct clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc- Craft and deliver training to employees on the use of proper payroll practices, including timesheet entry and online methods of accessing pay statements- Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Arrange data into spreadsheets and the payroll system- Configure custom reports- Communicate with organization employees via a variety of channels to obtain approvals of timesheets*Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.Please submit your resume to and call for review and consideration.Requirements- Eagerness to master new systems- Previous payroll experience- Deep understanding of Multi-state Payroll- Payroll experience- Comprehensive knowledge of Ceridian- Full Cycle Payroll experience required- Great attention to detail- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Payroll software experience suggested- Outstanding data entry skillsAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
