Summary: Veolia provides operation and maintenance operations for the wastewater treatment facilities and collection systems for the City of St. Michael, City of Hanover, City of Greenfield, and Whisper Creek HOA.

Primary Functions:
Plans, organizes and manages the daily operation, maintenance and testing of a water and/or wastewater system, collection system or bio-solids facility. Assures compliance with established environmental, safety, operating, standards, policies and emergency response procedures. Maintains ongoing client interface to keep client informed and enhance client relations.

St. Michael Scope of service:
  • O&M services to 2.5-MGD ICEAS SBR WWTP
  • Collection System (82 miles)
  • 13 Lift Stations
  • Grinder Pump Stations (200)
  • Reed Beds
  • Biosolids Land Application Program
Hanover Scope of service:
  • Collection systems
  • 4 lift stations
  • 2 valve vaults
  • Customer service and billing
  • **Hanover has a joint venture with the neighboring cities of St Michael and Albertville for the water supply and a separate contract for their wastewater to be disposed of at the St Michael wastewater treatment plant.
Greenfield Scope of service:
  • O&M services to 0.2-MGD Extended Aeration WWTP
  • Collection System (5 miles)
  • Customer Service & Billing
  • Including Lake Sarah Collection System (2 miles)
  • 3 Lift Stations
Whisper Creek HOA Scope of service:
  • O&M services to 0.020 MGD wastewater treatment plant
  • Customer service and billing for the individual customer's grinder pump systems
  • Homeowner's association serving a private community of approximately 40 homes
  • 2 mile collection system


Qualifications
  • At least a two year degree in Business or Science or equivalent related experience with completion of an accredited management course.
  • Five to seven years progressive lead and/or supervisory experience within a water /wastewater treatment environment with thorough knowledge of the methods, techniques, principles, and practices of water/wastewater treatment, water distribution and wastewater collection.
  • Class B Wastewater license or ability to obtain class B license via reciprocity.
  • Type IV Biosolids Land Application License.
  • Rotating on-call with staff, currently set at once every 4 weeks.
  • Administrative and operational work, including outdoors in varying weather climates.
  • Sample collection and laboratory analysis, data collection, confined space entry, equipment maintenance/troubleshooting, collection system cleaning/jetting, grounds maintenance, general housekeeping.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
