In this position, you will perform financial modeling on various financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. The Financial Analyst will also advise management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and prepare reports for management. This role via Robert Half Finance provides an exciting opportunity to perform in a business partner capacity in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management with fellow colleagues. Located in the Oakdale, Minnesota, this Financial Analyst role is a full-time employment opportunity.Your responsibilities- Keep tabs on monthly and quarterly performance through the comparison of actuals versus expectations, ensuring that business partners handle their resources- This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information- Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans- Compose and oversee forecasting reports- Develop monthly reports to business partners on financial results and if any actions are required- Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P forecasting- Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support- Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending- Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, strategic resource allocation and prioritization, and event tracking and execution- Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team- Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunitiesRequirements- Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience prioritized)- Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)- Sales analysis & reporting experience preferred- Ad Hoc Analysis experience highly desired- Budgeting experience required- Deep understanding of Sales Forecast- Comprehensive knowledge of forecasting- 3+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)- Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required- Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP systemRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
