Day Shift! $35.38/hr. Day One Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401K, Pension and More!

Must hold a current and valid Contracting Pipe fitter's License issued by the State of Minnesota.

• Must have a thorough knowledge of piping material available in order to specify the appropriate material for jobs assigned.

• To perform, direct, and assist other pipefitters and welders in installation and maintenance activities.

• Will be required to create a complete material list for piping projects assigned from the provided project layouts.

• Will be required to have a working knowledge of OSHA standards to insure compliance.

• Will be required to work safely under all weather conditions, in all locations and different elevations in the factory, yards, and sugar bins.

• Employee will be required to work and communicate effectively with others, including:end foreman, station people, management personnel, vendors, and technical and jurisdictional representatives. Person will also maintain jurisdictional and company-required records relating to the boiler and pressure vessel repair and alteration program.

• Employee must supply own hand tools as required to perform the duties of High Pressure Pipe fitter.

• Will be required to work without direct supervision.

• Will perform troubleshooting and problem solving techniques.

• Employee will be required to prepare and submit all necessary jurisdictional permit applications necessary to secure approval for job assigned.

• Will be required to keep the Contractor Pipe Fitter'slicense current.

• Will perform other duties as required by management.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED certificate is required.

Must hold a current and valid Contracting Pipe fitter's License issued by the State of Minnesota.

• Must have an in-depth knowledge of the Minnesota Department of Labor & Industry Steamfitter Rules & Code for Power Piping Systems Chapter 326.46 through 526.521 and ASME Power Piping Codes.

• Must successfully pass the Mechanical Aptitude test with a score of 70%, (44 out of 62 correct). Employee must also pass a welding test in the 6G position including all test blank preparation. Employee must demonstrate a safe working knowledge of all applicable welding and cutting equipment and procedures.

• In addition, employee must pass the welding tests necessary to qualify the person to perform at least four of the company's certified welding procedures as prescribed by the ACSC Boiler and Pressure Vessel Repair Program within six months.

• Must have the ability, integrity and judgment to reason through, plan, layout, draw or sketch, make necessary piping layout calculations, and perform and direct the physical installation procedures necessary to facilitate a new or retrofitted piping installation, through training or on-the-job experience.

• Must have the ability required to perform a given job including, but not limited to, using tools or instruments ; performing basic building maintenance , pipe fitting, equipment adjustments , alignment, equipment installation , fabrication, valve maintenance, and equipment maintenance.

• Must have a valid forklift license or permit, or be able to obtain one within six months.

• Must be familiar with personal computers and be capable of operating the SAP maintenance management system.

• Must demonstrate leadership ability by setting the working pace for others and assuming responsibility for minimizing interruptions in process operations.

• Must have the ability to read and understand written information, manuals, schematics, blueprints, diagrams, etc. the person will be required to locate reference information and must have basic math skills.

• Employee must be physically capable of using all required safety equipment to perform assigned tasks.
