Building Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at E. A. Sween. The Building Maintenance/HVAC Technician position is responsible for efficiently maintaining all HVAC equipment and infrastructure supporting equipment and components at the Eden Prairiecampus. This rolealso supports all ancillary equipment used in the production/sanitation process in the Production area. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am -4:30pm. The pay range is $32-40/hour DOE.E.A. Other duties may be assigned: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspaceDemonstrate safe work habits by following all safety rules and general plant rulesDisplay an advanced ability to manage time and perform self-directed work.Ability to work with outside vendors to improve current processes or find future process improvements.Maintain and repair building and groundsBasic PlumbingPaintingMoving of furnitureOccasional snow shoveling and ice removalDisplay high level understanding of pumps and pumping systems.Display an advanced understanding and aptitude of electrical processes and procedures while troubleshooting equipmentUsing a meter to perform high level troubleshooting to component level.Replace/Program electrical components and complete complex wiring.Display an advanced understanding and aptitude of pneumatic processes and procedures while troubleshooting equipment.Ability to read schematics and interpret circuits design and component functions within the circuitAbility to troubleshoot pneumatic components effectivelyDisplay advanced ability to troubleshoot and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.Display advanced ability to use shop equipmentHelp to build the Preventive Maintenance procedures for all building/HVAC equipment. Take an active role in new equipment design/install projects Required Qualifications:Have good communication skillsBe proficient at Microsoft Word, Google Drive and OutlookAbility to manage time and workload efficiently and independentlyHighly proficient at electrical troubleshooting and building wiring circuitsHigh level understanding of pneumatic/hydraulic and mechanical components and circuitsHighly proficient at HVAC repairs and troubleshootingDegree in Building Maintenance and/or HVAC or equivalent certifications and licenses, and at least two years industry experience in like role.Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Must be highly motivated and willing to work in a fast pace environmentMust be able to work well with various levels of employees and diverse culturesSome overtime is expected in the roleAbility to lift 75Lbs+ regularlyAbility to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesAbility to safely climb ladder and work at heights over 10 feetAbility to work in various temperature environments for extended periods of time (-10F up to >90F)COVID-19 considerations:To keep our employees and guests safe, we have implemented temperature/visual screening upon entry, have face masks available upon request and are sanitizing work stations daily.
