Product Design Engineer III

Summary: The purpose of this role is to coordinate technical activities on assigned projects by leading projects and directing the work of others with the goal of premier customer satisfaction. Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work by performing the work personally or in conjunction with project team members. Monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and company policies and procedures. Responsible and accountable for communication, coordination and completion of project within a specific timeline and budget.
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Mechanical preferred
• 5+ years of direct HVAC Product or Development experience
• 5+ years' experience with Positive Displacement Air Cooled and Water Cooled Equipment
• Knowledge UL Safety Agency and AHRI Standards.
• Full life cycle product development experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Player/coach role where, depending on the day, the team leader can move comfortably from leading project work to completing tasks on projects.
• Primary responsibility is to support product manufacturing, applications and sales.
• Responsible for overall customer satisfaction by ensuring equipment is built to customer satisfaction
• Serves as the liaison between the customer, sales team and factories.
• Responsible to ensure project timelines, ship dates and project costs are met
• Responsible for process of job costing
• Assist the Application Engineering Teams with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard or modified products.
• Provide prompt, accurate responses to special applications inquiries
• Process and execute orders for standard products and/or products requiring modifications not covered by published pricing
• Responsible for product maintenance and overseeing engineering change orders
• Responsible for cost improvement programs to meet the business needs
• Responsible for supporting After-Market Sales and Service
