Job DescriptionPOSITION: Property Manager CLASSIFICATION: Salary range starting at $33,000/yrREPORTS TO: Property & Camp DirectorPOSITION SUMMARY: Professional position with the responsibility to provide general maintenance and some custodial services at council properties.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Determine cleaning and maintenance schedules for building and equipment. Maintain and make improvements to interior and exterior of service centers and properties and/or supervise staff or volunteers that assist with maintenance.Create inventory of tools, equipment and supplies. Maintain site security and report emergencies to proper authorities.Work with Property Director to oversee and manage property budget. Help with reporting, budgets, forecasting and monthly variance reports.Implement Long Range Property plan and ensure timelines and deadlines are metImplement permanent maintenance and maintain and replacement schedules/records and inventory control systems for all council owned furniture and equipment.Supervise Property Coordinators, Property Specialists and Property AssistantsSupport council functions through promotion of council sponsored activities. Promote the Girl Scout culture of philanthropy by cultivating and building relationships with donors.Experience and SkillsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma. Experience with indoor and outdoor maintenance, certificates in the maintenance field preferred.Experience with a basic knowledge of general maintenance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, constructions, grounds maintenance, boiler systems, heating and air conditioning systems, etc.Ability to take initiative, to organize and implement a multi-faceted work load with minimum supervision and function well as a member of a team.Understanding of budget development and general financial/administrative practices; computer literate with familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets and database management preferred.Ability to prioritize work, train and delegate to others.Ability to work under pressure and shift priorities in response to changing needs.Valid driver's license, good driving record and reliable transportation. Comfortable with traveling throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula as work dictates.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to walk, and to operate maintenance equipment manually. The employee must have the ability to move, lift, bend and kneel.
