Loan Accountant - Financial Services

For this long-term temporary position, you should be willing to work in Saint Paul, Minnesota.Your responsibilities- Carrying out alternate duties and taking part in special projects as assigned- Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits- Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct- Investigating and fixing account discrepancies- Preparing monthly journal entries- Assisting with full cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes- Perform data entry*Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.Please submit your resume to and call for review and consideration.Requirements- Excellent attention to detail- 1 year of accounting experience- Excellent data entry skills- Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects- Applicants are recommended to hold an AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing- High-level understanding of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred- Practical knowledge of Daily Banking- Skills in banking credit analysis- Quality experience with electronic banking- EFT Payments experience preferred- Expertise in loan servicing- Well-founded grasp of Payment Processing- General familiarity with Payments Reconciliation- Incoming payments experience desired- Wide ranging experience with Internet Banking- Good understanding of Banking Operation- Electronic Bill Payment & Presentment (EBPP) experience highly desired- Proven knowledge of Invoice Payment- Deep understanding of Collecting Payments- Previous experience working with Banking Products- Earlier work involving Banking ServicesAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
