The Role

As an HR Business Partner, you will drive our mission by working with employees across the business to ensure FCC is a great place to work for all. Our team achieves results by being innovative, driven, collaborative and trustworthy. This role is both hands-on and strategic, and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations & development, talent acquisition & retention, compensation & benefits, and ad hoc projects as necessary. FCC's HR Business Partners are passionate about their work and help deliver positive change every day.

Areas of focus include:

Employee Relations & Development
  • Create a supportive environment and communication process where employees feel comfortable sharing ideas and issues.
  • Formulate partnerships with management and advise employees and supervisors about company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures, etc.
  • Engage with employees to understand the overall pulse of the organization and identify opportunities to create a culture of increased employee engagement.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns.

Talent Acquisition & Retention
  • Execute the full recruitment and hiring process from candidate sourcing, interviewing, to on-boarding of new employees.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Lead the HR on-boarding initiatives to ensure newly hired employees have a positive hiring experience.
  • Promote employee engagement and guide career development conversations.

Benefits & Compensation
  • Perform benefits administration including claims/question resolution, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Coordinate compensation reviews as required, which may include compensation benchmarking, surveys, and recommend compensation changes as appropriate.
  • Manage all company leave programs and FMLA, interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related area.
  • Five or more years human resource experience in a professional environment.
  • Professional HR certification desired.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% per month.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Infectious energy.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Approach challenges with a solution mindset-ability to influence.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to collaborate with multiple departments across the organization.
  • Proficient with computers and able to quickly learn various software programs, including HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that is insurable by the company.
  • Must carry an acceptable level of vehicle insurance as required by the company.
