Our client is bakery & snack manufacturing leader! The company produces over 250 tons of products per day in bakeries across the US. We have been retained to find a National Account Manager to manage the grocery & dollar channels. This is a home-based role, located on the west coast or in Texas. The National Account Manager is responsible for delivering assigned sales budget and profit through effective strategic planning, implementing sales programs that grow the company's retail product lines. This role reports to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, and marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years sales or sales management experience from a food CPG company.
  • Grocery/Supermarket experience is a must have. Discount/Value/Dollar Channel experience is a plus.
  • Requires NAM to develop strategic business plans and technical execution.
  • Business strategies including category management, space management, net pricing, deduction management and EDI.
  • CRM experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding and interpretation of syndicated data to include AC Nielsen and/or IRI.
  • Must be located on the West Coast or in Texas. This is a home based office role.
  • Must be able to travel to customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver budgeted volume and profit for both national and key regional accounts.
  • Develop and implement of trade/consumer programs that exceed budgeted volume and profit.
  • Responsible for P&L of accounts.
  • Develop business relationships, leveraging those relationships to drive business results.
  • Establish, call on and maintain strong relations with key direct and indirect customers to manage and develop business.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers.
  • Develop and implementation of customer specific trade plans.
  • Work closely with customers to maintain and continue to improve retail shelf conditions.
  • Complete retail audits and required reports.
  • Align strategies and develop the assigned customer in order to meet both companies' goals.
