About the job

In this highly visible role, the Provider Domain Data Architect is a key leader with strong domain expertise in data generated and used by the company's clinical partners. The Architect will design, deploy, and manage the organization's data architecture, with primary focus on the provider/clinical data domain. The Architect will collaborate with technology and management teams to understand requirements and define standards for how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across the organization and translated into high quality, effective information. The Architect will build an inventory of data needed to implement architecture and create a vision for how data will flow end-to-end through the organization.

The role will conceptualize and design complex data models for development by data engineers, approve modifications and implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, constantly monitoring and refining the performance of data management systems. Additionally, the Architect will be a key participant in the governance effort for the respective domain as it relates to other domains (e.g., Member, Claims).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field, plus 7+ years of work experience beyond degree.
  • 5+ years of experience working with provider data and data modeling (e.g., demographic attributes, clinical data, etc.).
  • "Systems thinking" - the ability to envision how data flows through a data ecosystem to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders (e.g., provider networks/contracting, quality measures/HEDIS, care management/care coordination).
  • Technical experience, including use of Informatica or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with senior leaders to develop new capabilities, identify and resolve gaps, and influence good design approaches.

Preferred:

  • Direct responsibility within a data-centric organization from a health system.
  • Technical development or project delivery experience (to understand the linkage from modeling to execution).
