This is a multi-level position and based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and requirements for this position.US Citizenship statues required as this positon needs active US Security Clearance as of day one of employmentProvide DT High Performance Computing support and project management in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment. Understanding of Windows Server internals, and knowledge of Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Work as a team member in a fast paced technological environment. Help develop and manage projects and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices. Assist with troubleshooting to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of high performance computing hardware, software and operating systems (OS). Understanding of software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware and system-level troubleshooting, to lead and support the engineering community. Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high performance computing systems. Work across IT functions to standardize processes and procedures. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT HPC processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members. This candidate must be able to obtain a final Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance and have the ability to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date. Minimum Required Skills / Certifications: Bachelor's in IT or STEM related field and 4 year of directly related experience or a Master degree in IT or STEM degree and 2 years of experience or in lieu of a degree additional 8 years of experience is required Experience in Windows and or Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening2 years' experience maintaining a medium sized Microsoft Windows Server environment Experience with OS internals, file system structures, and machine architectures Experience with Redhat Enterprise LinuxExperience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutionsExperience with TCP/IP, switches, firewalls, routers, and their basic operationsKnowledge and experience using Information Technology project lifecycleExperience with High Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools Experience developing solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problemsExperience leading special projects and manage resourcesExperience training others in standard IT HPC processes and proceduresUS Citizenship statues required as this positon needs active US Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
