Senior Project Manager

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for a contract position lasting from 02/22/2021 through 12/31/2021, working with a major insurance client in the Milwaukee, WI area.

Description:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead the execution of either individual large, complex, cross-functional projects (generally, 1-year duration, $1M budget, impacting multiple business areas), or multiple medium-sized, moderately complex projects. Additional project management support within the Wealth Management PMO. PMO is comprised of ~23 individuals in project/program management roles and business analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide project management expertise to the Investment Products and Services (IPS) business area, and related enterprise areas in accordance with Company-approved methodologies, you will assist clients in defining and managing scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk mitigation, and implementation strategies.
• Assign, lead and track complex resources, regrouping as priorities and objectives necessitate, to achieve key milestones and accomplish optimal project results.
• Above all, you are a strategic thinker who takes ownership of issues, moving between diverse tasks with tact, cooperation, and persistence, motivating and bringing out the best in those around you.

Qualifications:

• Min of 5-7 years of relevant experience is required.
• Excellent PM skills - ideal candidates will have ability to drive business leaders and have excellent rapport and communication/relationship skills.
• Understanding business priorities is 5X more important in this role than heavy technical chops.
• Nice to Have: Investments/wealth management experience. Ideal candidate will have worked in/around regulatory efforts.
• Client is seeking someone that can be a Business PM as this is a business facing role and less technical.
