Non-IT Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Non-IT Project Manager in Minneapolis, MN. Summary: This is not an IT Project Manager or Technical Project Manager role, rather responsible for managing 2-5 Business Line projects or 1-3 projects that cross several Business Lines. Typically works with Senior Business Line management to formulate project scope and manages project teams between 6-20 stakeholders. Participates in the identification, design, development and implementation of assigned projects. Additional responsibilities include:

• Directs and monitors project activity for assigned functional areas
• Participates in meetings and task force activities to identify project goals, gains consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures and estimates project costs; fosters cooperation and involvement from support team
• Interviews users to identify and analyze needs; develops a project plan and provides input to recommendations for request and/or problem resolution
• Identifies internal and/or external resources to ensure successful project completion in accordance with user needs
• Prepares project status reports; makes alterations in project plan as needed
• Assists with or prepares project implementation steps and documentation as appropriate; ensures a smooth implementation of project; resolves problems
• Participates in training users as applicable
• Participates in project evaluation against estimated plans and costs; provides continuing support and service as required
• Manages performance of project team and evaluates overall performance
• Work with internal teams, product and technology teams, and external vendors translating business needs into requirements

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
• PMP a plus
• 10 or more years of experience in project management activities

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Considerable knowledge of 2 or more of these Specialty Default areas: Repossessions, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Recovery, Real Estate Owned property
• Familiarity with FNMA (Fannie Mae), FHLMC (Freddie Mac), Black Knight Financial and MSP
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Thorough knowledge of project and/or program management
• Experience with MS Project preferred and strong knowledge using MS Office Suite
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven initiative
• Experience with Waterfall methodology
