The role reports to the Director of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Cooling) Sales. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will act as an experienced industry influencer who works to grow ABB's market share regionally (Western US) by managing dedicated tier-1 channel partners and direct /indirect OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) customers in support of ABB's HVAC drives product portfolio and market separation strategy. Your responsibilities

  • To manage, support, and develop solution sales for ABB Low Voltage Drives and Services at assigned channel partner, OEM, and end-user accounts.
  • Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their business.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key decision-makers and participating in partner scorecard reviews and expectation setting.
  • Working with large End-user /OEM accounts (as assigned) to ensure aligned national support in a defined region and work closely with a diverse sales & channel team.
  • Technical Sales involves scheduling appointments, preparing, and delivering presentations to the client, having researched their business and requirements.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales budget in assigned territory & participate in a highly strategic collaborative environment.
  • Negotiating and making offers in accordance with company procedures.
  • Providing regular account summary reports to the sales manager and support trade shows and industry associations as required.
  • Extensive use of SalesForce.com as a primary CRM tool and conduct business with an unwavering ethical compass.
  • Support Global Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers in sales efforts and ensure compliance with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Your background

  • Bachelor Degree with 8 years of relevant experience within a complex business environment selling products or solutions OR Associates Degree with 10 years of relevant experience within a complex business environment OR HSD (High School Diploma) /GED with 12 years of relevant experience within a complex business environment.
  • Travel 30% of time.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States.
  • Extensive sales and VFD (?Variable Frequency Drive) /HVAC application background
  • Demonstrated industry influence and demand creation mentoring and ability to sell technical solutions and services.
  • Account management history of OEM, End User, and commercial channel partners in the HVAC industry understanding of customer needs, experience in customer interface, and strong presentation skills.
  • Fluent English both spoken and written, good communication skills, and strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft office platform.
  • Social, networking and stress-tolerant, cultural sensitivity, flexibility e.g. traveling and familiar with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software tools like Salesforce and PowerBI.
