Specialty Powders Sales Account Manager

This position is eligible to work remotely.
This position is a key contributor to the execution of the Global Dairy Ingredients Domestic Specialty Powders strategy and will execute the defined business priorities driving profitability from established accounts and generating new customer/segment opportunities. Immediate responsibilities include management of assigned domestic accounts against planned/incremental performance expectations. This role will actively identify growth opportunities within the Dairy Foods division, implement a long-term growth plan and develop key customers into strategic business partners.
Global Dairy Ingredients Specialty Powders Domestic Account Management (90%)
  • Cultivate and develop relationships with targeted existing and potential customers to promote LOL as the preferred supplier
  • Prepare sales forecast, monitor sales volume against forecast to identify problem areas and make plans to regain any lost business
  • Achieve sales objectives including sales volume, customer profitability, pricing, and customer account planning through effective account management
  • Develop long term sales plans for key customers and accounts, monitor and adapt sales activities so that these objectives are met in accordance with overall Specialty Powders strategy
  • Proactively and collaboratively develop creative strategies to meet/exceed customer and business expectations
  • Optimize returns to Land O'Lakes while appropriately managing risk and driving future growth.
  • Effectively use key reporting tools to gather and share accurate/relevant content related to account performance, project status, customer needs, etc.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Marketing, Operations, R&D, Finance, Demand Planning, etc. to achieve goals and work on customer projects
  • Identify adjacent dairy opportunities and cross sell multiple dairy components at key strategic accounts
Industry Engagement (10%)
  • Engage in industry organizations positively representing Land O'Lakes
  • Actively promote Land O'Lakes at conferences, tradeshows and industry seminars to foster/maintain client relationships to ensure an increase in the awareness and corporate identity of the company as the leading supplier of dairy ingredients and solutions
  • Seek out opportunities to develop industry skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 3 or more years of experience in BB food ingredient sales
  • Experience developing strategic customer business relationships
